Bought it somewhere else? Have it sent to us.
We receive firearms from online retailers, other dealers and out-of-state sellers every week. Give the seller our name; they get our licence from us directly, dealer to dealer. You come in for the paperwork and background check and pick up after Washington’s ten-business-day wait. Suppressors and other NFA items come in on a Form 3 and go out to you on a Form 4.

The seller gets our licence
Dealer to dealer: the sending FFL emails ffl@precisionshooting.us with their licence and we reply with ours, or pulls it from a dealer directory such as MasterFFL. Our phone line also gives the details. Most retailers already have us on file.

If you like, tell us what is coming with the form below and we text you when it lands. Otherwise we call you when the box arrives. Pay the transfer fee online now or at pickup.

First visit: paperwork
Federal Form 4473 and the Washington application, proof of a firearm-safety course within five years, and we submit the state background check.

Second visit: pickup
Washington requires ten business days from the background-check request before we hand over any firearm. We text you to book the pickup.
Handguns transfer only to Washington residents (federal law). Rifles and shotguns can transfer to an out-of-state buyer when legal in both states; the Washington wait and training proof still apply. Rifles that meet Washington’s assault-weapon definition cannot be transferred here.
Fees
A transfer costs $50 plus the $36 Washington background-check fee; each additional firearm in the same transfer is $25. Pay at pickup, or online when you tell us a transfer is coming.

Common questions
How does the seller get your FFL?
Dealer to dealer: they email ffl@precisionshooting.us with their licence and we send ours, or they pull it from a dealer directory such as MasterFFL. Our phone line has the same details. You do not need to do anything.
Do I really need two visits?
Yes, under Washington law since 2024: the background check starts at the first visit and the firearm can be handed over ten business days later at the earliest.
What do I bring?
Government photo ID with your current address and proof of a firearm-safety course within the last five years. Bring the seller’s invoice if you have it.
I live in Oregon or Idaho. Can I pick up here?
Rifles and shotguns, yes, if legal in your state and ours. Handguns must transfer through a dealer in your home state.
I bought a suppressor online.
The seller ships to us on a tax-free Form 3. When it arrives we file your Form 4 together ($125) and you pick up after ATF approval. Bring a passport-quality photo; digital fingerprints are optional but recommended.
Can a friend pick it up for me?
No. The person on the background check takes the firearm.
What if I fail the check or change my mind?
The firearm goes back to the seller at your cost; the transfer fee still applies.
