The slide flats are brought to a brilliant hand-polished finish, contrasting against the glass-bead frame, and the master engraver applies tasteful hand-relief engraving to the flats. The top of the slide is flattened and finely grooved to create a glare-reducing sighting plane, and 50 LPI rear serrations complement the deep-buried adjustable rear sight.
