The timeless design of the 1911, paired with exquisite hand-relief engraving: the “Pair of Aces” is a set of consecutively serial numbered guns built from stainless steel. Carefully hand fitted by our skilled craftsmen, the pair are built as a true heirloom set.

Classic 25 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing, all the finest customizations, and full-coverage hand-relief engraving by master engraver James White. Each set includes a 5″ Government model and a 4.25″ Commander Bobtail model, with custom cocobolo grips bearing a “Pair of Aces” motif.

  • Frames: Government (5 in) and Commander Bobtail (4.25 in), single stack
  • Slides: High polish, custom rib, 50 LPI rear serrations, square-cut rear cocking serrations, fully engraved

  • Weight: approx. 43 oz (Government) and 35 oz (Commander Bobtail) with unloaded magazine
  • Sold only as a set of two handguns; two Ed Brown pistol bags and magazines

Built to order through Precision Shooting LLC, an authorized Ed Brown dealer; MSRP shown is the base configuration. Two firearms transfer together (two entries on the ATF Form 4473).

How you'll receive it

Ordered to build: your card is charged at checkout and we place the order on our dealer allocation the same day. Call us if you would rather reserve it with a deposit and pay the balance before transfer.

  • Pick up in Lake Stevens, by appointment (Washington residents). Bring government photo ID and proof of firearm-safety training at your first visit. We run the Form 4473 and the Washington application, and submit the state background check. When you buy the firearm from us, the transfer and the $36 state fee are included. Washington requires ten business days from that request before any firearm is handed over.
  • Ship to your dealer in any state where this item is legal, free of charge. Your dealer emails us a signed copy of their licence (27 CFR 478.94); we match it against ATF's FFL eZ Check before it ships. Their transfer fee and state rules apply at pickup.
