Volquartsen’s Lightweight Carbon Fiber Barrels have evolved. Inspired by the success of the Lightweight barrels for the 10/22, the same improvements are applied to a complete Lightweight Upper for the Ruger MK IV. Each barrel is stainless steel with a laser-hardened breech face for durability at round counts exceeding 100,000, and a woven carbon-fiber sleeve provides rigidity while an air space between sleeve and barrel dissipates heat.
The barrel is threaded into a Ruger MK IV upper receiver (drilled and tapped, with Picatinny rail) and paired with an upgraded Ruger MK IV 22/45 frame and the Volquartsen Competition Bolt for a complete, lightweight pistol.
